John, I have really enjoyed looking both at your family photos and at those you took when travelling. Seeing some of them reminded me of my travelling and it revived memories, as I have seen quite a lot of Europe myself. But what interested me most are those taken in Japan and in the other Eastern countries. At the moment I cannot travel, but they are included in my list " Of What I would still Like to Do" before I sign off.

Hi John,
Good website. Please allow me to correct one slight mistake as regarding the arrival of the Romans to Malta. They came in 218BC during the second Punic war. In 255BC, during the first Punic war they also came but they did not stay. All they did was to plunder and loot whatever that they could lay their hands on.
Afetr 1090AD. Count Rodger left the Arabs on the Island on a condition that they would consider him as their overlord and pay a yearly tribute and free their Christian captives. It was in 1249AD according to Ibn Khaldun, Emperor Frederrick II sent the Maltese Muslims into exile at Lucerna. Only those who converted to Christianity and Muslim slaves were allowed to stay on the islands.
